Feltscape

I’m pretty proud to announce the finishing of the Feltscape for UNStudio. Two matching panels visualizing a part of a UNStudio’s project in South Asia are ready to hang in UNStudio’s headquarters in Amsterdam. A cartographic presentation of intertwining contour lines of a sea-shore landscape and a walking route stressing this steep coast line. The triangle shaped architecture on the left side of the Feltscape is perched on the edge of the coast line and becomes a landmark for the hole area.

Conversation

A conversation with Maria Zafeiriadou,  UNStudio’s designers, made clear that the design follows the topography of the location, embracing the hill at the back, while at the same time opening up towards the sea. This way large frontages with view towards sea and across are created.
