Meshworks
The wool flax project is an experiment to intertwine fibers of different species and simultaneously invite ‘nature’ to entangle these meshworks. The ultimate goal in this is to find parallels between agriculture and the process of making felt and above all to connect the ‘nature’ of materials.
Pre felt with planted flax seeds.

Seedbeds covered with plastic to secure the humidity level of the wool and an attempt to attract less birds. 
Wool is still a popular material for making bird’s nests. After a few frosty nights I decided to uncover this experiment. Germination and rooting of the flax seeds didn’t happened. 
After a few weeks I decided to stop this experiment to make space for some new to come. Ridges that remain after this second experiment.
