Dead Ice Landscape | Funen

HUMMOCKY TOPOGRAPHY

First hummocky impression of the geological landscape of my upcoming residency of AiR Assens. During the Late Pleistoceen period a stagnant ice sheet was left behind on, what happened to be now, the island of Funen. Melting glaciers, the pressure of ice squeezing soft till contributes to specific landforms such as small bumpy hills and a kames.

IMPRESSIONS OF KALBJERGTORN

In order to become acquainted with the formation of the landscape surface of Funen I started making feltscapes of the Kalbjergtorn environment.
