Early Explorer Map | Western Australia

THE FARM MARGARET RIVER

In the coming weeks I will contribute to the ongoing mapping process of Western Australia. Invited by Artsource and The Farm Margaret River I will explore the microrelief of the limestone & granite country, gently undulating land with springs. Good soil & grass in the valleys and steep forested ridges. According to the handwritten notes of Bannister and Dale on the early explorer map of South-West of Western Australia (1830-1831).

I’m curious which tracks and traces I will find and leave behind.

Limestone, granite country gently undulating. Moderately wooded and unbounded with springs. Good soil & grass in the valleys and steep forested ridges. (last three words are uncertain)
