Bodem kan worden opgevat, als een voedingsbodem voor cultuur, scheppingskracht, datgene wat de geest van mensen voedt, inspireert en kracht geeft; de verbeelding.

De Asserbos Bodem is mijn inspiratie maar hoe vruchtbaar is deze bron eigenlijk?

Met behulp van een inventarisatie kaart van het Asserbos uit 1920 ga ik op zoek naar de vruchtbaarheid van de Asserbos Bodem. Ruim honderd jaar geleden is deze gedetailleerde kaart met bijbehorende inventarislijst gemaakt. De kaart is een momentopname maar tegelijk ook een baken in de tijd, het is een archiefstuk met een schat aan gegevens, verzameld op een moment tussen de aanleg van het Asserbos in de periode rond 1760 en 2021.

Dit project kan mede tot stand komen door subsidie van de Provincie Drenthe.

The Asserbos Bodem is my inspiration, but how fertile is this source really?

With the help of an inventory map of the Asserbos from 1920 I search for the fertility of the Asserbos Soil. This detailed map with accompanying inventory was made more than a hundred years ago. The map is a snapshot but also a beacon in time, it is an archival piece with a wealth of data, collected at a time between the construction of the Asserbos in the period around 1760 and 2021.

This project can be realized in part through a subsidy from the Province of Drenthe.
